By October 19th, 2016, 10 competing teams will have to submit their finalized project for urban housing in 2050. They thus have only one month left to formulate a detailed proposal in an attempt to win the Well Building 2050 competition as well as the 20,000$ at stake.
When the deadline passes, more than 80 days will have been given to the students so they can come up with a friendly and cost-effective solution for Tomorrow's Habitat. A period which can be of great use for the weakest teams to fill the existing gaps in both their projects and applications.
To date, all the "weakest" teams have succeeded in recruiting new members thus bringing a great deal of academic expertise while guaranteeing mixity and multidisciplinarity within their working group - two very important selection criteria to the contest’s jury.
By providing those teams with a wider range of skills, those 12 new participants helped to strengthen their teammates’ prospective project by providing fresh perspectives on the competition's issue.
Besides, the composition of the examination board is still to be determined. It will be presented by mid-October, at the latest.
